UK finally submits treaty, while patience in the URRR is running out

Following Pravda's last edition article, the UK's high officers have finally stepped up and submitted to the URRR high officers a treaty they would actually sign. This gesture was received with much enthusiasm by the URRR, where there finally is some hope that negotiations could actually bring results.
The URRR goverment and the KGB had to work extra time analyzing the details of the treaty to come up with something close enough to the UK's demands that actually reflects the will of the people in conquered and defeated states.
KGB sources, however, warned Pravda that the URRR is running out of patience for what they consider to be excessive demands by a country that, while the only power rivaling the URRR, have in the end lost the war. Hopes are that this treaty will be accepted, but there is fear that if that doesn't happen, war will be resumed and negotiations ended.
Following, the last available version of such treaty, as sent back from the URRR. It is the version presented by the UK with some minor changes, a version that is already the URRR first draft with a few modifications:

Negotiations continued

After several days during which continuous negotiations fail to give any substantial result, the fact of whether the UK government is actually willing to end this war is under serious questions in the URRR.
The fact that the last serious attempt of bringing peace to Europe was foiled by such government raised a few eyebrows when PM Bruno started speaking about ending the war again. Now, it looks like attempts may well fail again by the same reason.
PM Edi has agreed on its conditions to surrender to the URRR after brief talks with PM Matteo. The German government requested to form a socialist government including its pre-war territories, plus Denmark and Bohemia, and the URRR government agreed to that. No official conversations where initiated with the Italian government because none could be found, but as the proposal its for it to get back its pre-war territories no difficulties are anticipated. France is in no position to make strong demands, but as the proposed treaty also proposed giving them back its pre-war territories, no difficulty is anticipated there either.
PM Bruno, however, found several problems with the treaty. He claimed that the URRR had no right to build naval bases in either Sweden or Norway since they hadn't actually conquered either territory. The URRR government agreed to keep its building of military bases to friendly territories that were in fact aligned with the URRR. But the UK claimed that if the URRR government had the right to build bases in their conquered territories, they wanted the right to build bases in their own territories as well. Not because they feel like they needed such bases, or because they even wanted them. But if the URRR had it, they had to have it as well. The URRR had no problem with that. They asked to establish an Arab Republic in Syria with Israel being an international territory. It was as well granted. Apparently, however, they can agree on the terms of the Austrian surrender, terms that, as mentioned before, both of the countries with any stake there at all had agreed upon. So, Austria had agreed on the terms he'll surrender to the URRR, the URRR had agreed on those terms as well, and the UK, who has no troops anywhere near the country, can't accept such terms because they are too hard on Austria.
A frustrated 2M Fabio again made a brief comment after a long day of negotiations:

"Well... I can't really understand what they want. In my opinion, they have no intention whatsoever of achieving peace, but they aren't bold enough to be honest about it. They want war to go on, and everybody to think that it is going on because of us. I've told PM Bruno several times: Make all the amends you like, and present a treaty you WOULD sign. Something that, if we agree on it, would bring no further objection from the UK. If you are serious about ending this war, let us know what YOU need to do it. Stop telling us that the terms we proposed aren't good enough and give us terms that ARE good enough. Or stop wasting our time."

Crystal clear. It appears like it's now up to the UK to make a move. We'll be waiting. But not holding our breaths...

Peace talks begin, with little to show for it

Conversations were held during long hours, with little to show for the effort

After a long time, former Admiral and new Prime Minister Christian had came back from his holidays and appointed the new Socialist government for Germany.
That's a very welcomed piece of good news after a disappointing day during which several hours of negotiations between 2M Fabio and PM Bruno have failed to yield any substantial advance in the negotiations. Of the 30 points of the original URRR's treaty the UK strongly refused 3. Over two of them, however, the disagreements weren't of that much importance and 2M Fabio expressed his confidence that those issues could be resolved quite easily and quickly.
Point 29, however, appeared from day 1 to be the most controversial point of the treaty, and over such point did negotiations revolved. The problem is, quite obviously, the status of Scandinavia in a post-war scenario. Being the only actual battleground and the shortest path between today two major powers, neither of them is willing to accept the other to control those territories.
The UK argues that, since their troops are currently in control of the territories, those territories should be independent from any sort of URRR's influence and remaine tied both economically and military to the UK. Fabio, however, was quite clear: "We CAN'T, under any circumstance, resign the right to control the naval traffic into the Barents and Baltic Seas. We have done so in the past, and that meant that the UK got to our doorstep quite quickly and easily when war spurred. If those seas are left un-patrolled, we'll constantly run the risk of a naval invasion from the UK."
In order to patrol those seas the URRR's government is requesting to be allowed to set a few naval bases in northern Norway and Southern Sweden, while giving up any other claim to Scandinavia. This would, according to URRR's high officers, allow the URRR to respond quickly and effectively to any UK naval invasion, while acknowledging the fact that Scandinavia is currently controlled by the UK.
Bruno, however, was quite clear as well, pointing out that URRR's bases in Scandinavia would be able to quickly launch an attack in the UK if they so desired, and that he can't by no means allow Scandinavian countries, who worked so hard to fight off the Bolsheviks forces to be humiliated by the establishment of communist naval bases there.
After long hours during which little more than this was said, Fabio provided Pravda with a short statement:

"In two words: No progress. Scandinavia was expected to be the hardest problem towards achieving peace, and it is living up to expectations. What's perhaps more troubling is PM Bruno's statement that, if no agreement is reached before further forces' movement is seen, he'll refuse to sign any agreement at all. No matter what."

Apparently, URRR's inquiries about why the UK had a "before-the-deadline-or-never" position towards the treaty the only answer gotten was a brief, "
because you want to impose your own peace," whatever that is supposed to mean.
According to 2M Fabio, Bruno acknowledged that, after Germany's announcement of its socialist alignment, chances are that the URRR would get to Scandinavia and therefore be able to build as many bases as they desire soon enough, but it is still not willing to allow even a couple of bases to be built there in order to achieve lasting peace in the continent. He is not even willing to negotiate a peace treaty with terms similar to those exposed in the current treaty proposed by the URRR, with communist bases in Scandinavia, even after URRR's forces effectively gain control of the territories, if that ever happens.
With the UK's deadline of "before next turn or never" looking further and further away as days go by, however, there may be plenty of time for negotiations and to achieve a treaty that satisfies all powers. It doesn't look, however, to be an easy task.

New resources for URRR army

A Zeppelin going out from the yard

The URRR ordered new Zeppelins from the German government to update its air force, in an attempt to streghten its ties with its new socialist partner.
Like the 1st triumvir told, many howitzers should come from Austria, and German Zeppelins would be a good complement to them.

While the news of the socialist's victory in the last elections were received with much enthusiasm by the NRC in the early hours, such enthusiasm was soon replaced by concern, as weeks passed by and news from Admiral Christian are yet to be heard.
The Russian entourage doesn't like this silence very much and it's querying if Germany is an allied country or not.
News of the Admiral having taken a few days off without even bothering to establish even initial contacts with the nation he claims to be a firm adherents to weren't received with much enthusiasm either.
The NRC is running out of patience towards their new allies, who's old government have often given signs of lacking the necessary strenght to keep control of the country, a situation the new government shows no sign of changing. The general impression is that Germany is now under a chaotic situation, an its reliability as an ally is being seriously questioned by many among the URRR high commands.

In a short time the 1st triumvir will send a delegation to Munich to properly assess the situation and decide on the best course of action.

Nationalist uproar in Rome

Rumors about nationalist dissidents has swept Italy in the last few weeks.

The Italian population had not been very happy with the way their leaders have been leading military issues, and that sentiment had been shown in the polls recently.

The main worries, however, are centered around rumours of an upcoming campaign to capture important territories in Turkey by the fleet in the Ionian sea. The lack of defences of such territories make it a tempting objective to Italian high officers, who apparently can't seem to conquer anything but defenceless territories.

Right-wing groups, while happy about the perspective of a campaign to reflect the "Italian lake" status the Mediterranean sea should hold, believe that the timing for fleets leaving the seas bordering their homeland couldn't be worst.

"Turkey should belong to us" an important nationalist leader, who asked his identity not to be disclosed, declared "but the moment couldn't possibly be worst".

Their problem with timing is the proximity of URRR troops around Italian borders.

"While we'd see with great pleasure having our fleets remove those damn communist from rule in Turkey, we can't afford to send that fleet away when those same communist are at our doorstep."

While the URRR has yet to attack Italy, and hasn't even taken territories near its borders, these groups consider the fall of Austria in the near future a fact, and THAT would mean having URRR troops in position to launch an attack on northern Italy and then even into Rome itself.

"We understand the necessity to get new territories... but we need to start thinking about defending from foreign invasion."

Could they have it their way, right-wing groups would see that same fleet raiding north Africa this very spring, before the English troops get there and pose some opposition, because, as they state "quite frankly, we don't believe our commanders can handle any sort of opposition, even if such opposition came from such an incompetent army as the English is."

That course of action, they argue "could provide us with the gains we need while keeping a fleet in a good position to defend our homeland." There is also the problem of long-term planning. While Turkey is largely undefended, the communist devils have yet managed to assemble a fleet in Sevastopol, and with the gains expected from the conquer of Austria another one can be expected shortly. Moreover, after Austria's fall, there will be plenty of idle red armies in the area, so Italian incursion in Turkey isn't likely to last for long. An invasion in North Africa could likely we hold in the long-term, specially with the new fleet gains there will likely allow to be assembled.

The Italian new government has yet to disclose any information regarding their actual plans for their fleet, and had declined any comments since such information would be of a great benefit to potential invaders.
